Day 1 - GA to DC Spring Trip 2026

March 27, 2026 - We packed up the camper and headed out around 10:45 this morning. It was sunny but cold. We had planned on stopping to bike ride in Columbus, OH along the way, but it was too cold and Andy has a head cold. We stopped at a little city park for lunch.

We found what looked like a nice paved levee trail for a walk in Chillicothe, OH. It was close to the highway, but the area was kind of tacky so we only walked for a mile. It did have some nice views of the river from the levee.

We continue on to our campground at Paintsville Lake State Park. It was dark and cold when we got to the campgroundat about 8:00so we tucked into the camper. We heated up leftover chop suey and made minute rice for dinner and watched basketball. Poor Spartans. 💚
